Lemon, water, cayenne pepper, ephedrine (wait -- no ephedrine? what kind of cleanse IS this?)

Well,
Started our day with a big glass of lemon, water and cayenne pepper (no maple syrup for now). Then fresh apple/carrot juice in place of coffee... for me, the toughest part is not having that giant BURST of coffee in the morning: even not having a drink (or 4) at night isn't a big deal, other than the fact that I reach for it automatically (which IS a big deal, and perhaps it's part of the Big Deal that we needed to discover here). That coffee burst... that crazified feeling, sitting at my desk, nowhere to run to, na na na naaaaaa, nowhere to hide, na na na naaaaa...

Obviously, not having the Big Coffee Burst is a great, great thing. Sure, I'm a bit somnolent, but I'd rather feel sleepy and know that I'm genuinely energized -- almost (almost!) too sleepy to be anxious or distraught -- than feel HYPER AWAKE and know that it's fake.

Wondering whether it will positively affect the quality of my work: how could it not? How could clarity not help?

Will post a couple of photos from last night's dinner when I'm able. :)

xo all,
gabe

Look at that spread! You're fucking spoiled Gabe! Oh my God Joohee is a goddess. Please come to our house and cook too, Joohee! Please? That's beautiful. It's 7:20a and we're about to juice some apple/carrot/orange. Followed by porridge "I am bright eyed". Guess what? I get to have lunch at Cafe Gratitude today! I have a "how to paint your car" class in SFO today and it's about 5 minutes from the restaurant! I'll be bringing some goodies home too! Love you two! Keep writing; I LOVE how you all write. Big Love, Denise
